3 things I’ve learned on my health journey

I'm gonna get a little personal about something.

I've been working towards a really big, seemingly impossible health goal. Several doctors flat out told me it wasn't possible to reverse this condition, and it will probably just get worse as the years pass. As tough as that was to hear, I refused to take that as an answer because in my heart I know that our bodies are powerful.

Deep down I really do believe that our bodies are capable of healing.

So, I searched for someone who believed it was possible too. Eventually I found a practitioner who has helped others reverse this "diagnosis", and I've been working with her since the fall.

It hasn't been easy. I've had to change my diet, take a ton of supplements, and do some inner work on understanding what was going on underneath the surface that started this whole break down in my body.

But guess what? I'm starting to see teeny tiny results!!! I mean really really teeny tiny, but I don't care how small it is, I'm celebrating the heck out of this!!!

It's a sign that I'm on the right path and that my body IS capable of healing (just as I suspected!) and so here's what I want you to know.

You can absolutely defy what other people have told you can't be done.Don't listen to your doctors, bosses or friends if your gut tells you that's their truth, but not yours. I believe in you and there are thousands of examples of people who broke through limits others thought were impossible to break.

Also, celebrate the small wins along the way! They are definitely worth jumping up and down for (science has proven that if you reward your brain it will want to keep going). When you're working towards a long term goal it's so necessary to give yourself props along the way!

And lastly, please know that your body is so incredible!!! (I want to jump through your screen to tell you this personally that's how important it is!) Your body is your friend not an enemy that's failing you. Of course I got discouraged along the way but I kept coming back to the belief that our bodies CAN heal and have been healing every scrape, cold, and fall we've been through since we were babies. I reminded myself that my body and I are on the same team and it was letting me know that I need to take care of it! And the same it true for you.

I hope this is a reminder that you are so powerful, my friend. I am sending you love! And if you know someone who could use a little encouragement today, please share this with them, too. Let's break through those limiting beliefs together :)

Have a great day!
